  Dr. Kirmani is an exceptional epileptologist. I have been diagnosed with epilepsy for more than fifteen years and we have been partners in my battle against epilepsy for approximately ten years. Early on in our partnership, we did not always agree on how to treat my seizures. However, we worked through our disagreements and focused on the ultimate goal of a life without seizures. I personally researched numerous treatments for my case and discussed them with Dr. Kirmani. After seizure monitoring, a WADA exam, visits with a neurosurgeon, and neuropsychologist over a period of five to six years, a treatment plan was agreed upon and is successfully working. The personal battle against epilepsy has been long and hard but with her assistance my seizures are now limited. At any time, my diagnosis could change and so too would my treatment plan. A change in treatment is not easy but I feel confident in Dr. Kirmani and how we would work together if something did change.
